This Cookie Policy explains how Matrimony.fr ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://matrimony.fr. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (CGU).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to keep you signed in, to remember your preferences, and to keep the service secure. We also use closely related browser technologies such as local storage, which stores small pieces of information in your browser in a similar way. In this policy, references to "cookies" include these similar technologies.
2. Our Approach to Cookies
We use as few cookies as possible. The Platform relies mainly on strictly necessary cookies that are essential for the website to function, to keep your account secure, and to remember basic preferences such as your language. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell any information collected through cookies.

Exact cookie names and lifetimes may change as the Platform evolves; we keep this table as accurate as reasonably possible.
4. Categories of Cookies
(a) Strictly necessary — required for the Platform to work and to keep it secure (for example, signing in, maintaining your session, CSRF protection, and remembering your cookie choice). These cannot be switched off through the Platform because the service would not function without them.
(b) Functional — remember choices you make, such as your language preference, to give you a better experience.
(c) Analytics / performance — we do not currently use analytics or performance-tracking cookies. If we introduce any in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
(d) Advertising — we do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
5. Third-party services
Our pages load web fonts from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com): we set no cookie for this, but Google receives your IP address with the request. When you sign in with Google, Google may use its own cookies on its sign-in pages. If the email-link sign-in via Firebase is enabled, the login page loads Firebase scripts from Google and keeps your email address in your browser's local storage until the link is used. When you pay, Stripe's checkout page (on stripe.com) may set its own cookies. These third parties act under their own policies. We load no analytics or advertising scripts.
6. Legal basis and consent
Strictly necessary cookies and storage do not require consent because they are essential to the service you request. We currently use no non-essential cookies. If we ever add any (for example analytics or advertising), they will be set only after you actively accept them in a consent tool that lets you refuse as easily as accept — continuing to browse will never be treated as consent.
7. How to Manage or Disable Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies, or alert you when a cookie is being set. To clear the choice that hides our cookie notice, clear your browser's cookies and local storage for this site. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Platform — including signing in and keeping you securely logged in — may not work correctly.

8. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how DNT should be handled, the Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals. As we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, this has no practical effect on your privacy here.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal or operational reasons. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. Please check this page periodically.
