How Matrimony.fr Works: From Profile Creation to Contact Access

If you are new to Matrimony.fr, this guide follows the whole journey — from the first sign-in to the moment two families speak to each other — and says at each step what is free, what is optional and what the site does with your information.

1. Create a free account

Sign in with Google, or with a one-time link sent to your email address — there is no password to remember. An account costs nothing and does not commit you to anything.

2. Build your profile

A step-by-step form covers your basic details, family, education and work, horoscope details and photos. Religion and caste are optional: they are saved only if you give explicit consent, because they are sensitive personal data. You decide whether each photo is public; private photos are not shown to other members.

3. Enter your partner preferences

Preferences describe the person you are looking for: age range, region or country, family situations you accept, professional situation and the qualities that matter to you. They order your suggested matches and later form the annex of your contract. See how to write partner preferences that lead to relevant matches.

4. Search and see your suggested matches

The search page lets you look through approved profiles with filters such as country and age. Your My Matches page goes further: it orders profiles using Match Rank, a score that blends your preferences, marital status, age, location, horoscope compatibility and profile completeness. 5. Check horoscope compatibility

6. Sign your free matrimonial contract

When your profile is complete you receive a "contract ready" email and a notice on the site. The contract is free, lasts at most 12 months without automatic renewal, and includes your preferences as its annex. For seven days after signing you can renounce without giving a reason, and no money payment is possible during those days. Everything is explained in why Matrimony.fr uses a matrimonial contract.

7. Get access to contact details

Once you have signed, there are two ways to see a member's phone or WhatsApp:

• Contact Access from an administrator — free, at the administration's discretion. You can ask for it with the Request contact access button on a profile.
• An unlock with Matrimony Points — where the feature is switched on. The cost in points is shown and confirmed before anything is deducted; points you were given are used first. You are never charged for your own profile, a blocked profile or a profile without contact details, and an unlocked profile stays available to you.

8. Talk safely and stay in control

After access is granted, families usually speak directly by phone or WhatsApp, outside the site. Take the first conversations slowly, verify details yourselves and never send money to someone you met online. From your dashboard you can block a member (you then no longer see each other), report a suspicious profile, manage your photos and email preferences, or delete your profile. What is free and what is optional

Most of Matrimony.fr is free. The one protected step is contact access: it needs a signed, free contract, then either an administrator's permission or optional points.
